We have a Veterans' group linked to CAVA (Cuban-American Veterans Association) that come to have lunch every Friday at 12:30. We usually sit in the table as you walk in at the end by the desserts cooler. Their split pea soup (chícharos) is to die for. & Danelys gives impeccable attention to detail service to her years long guests (us). Bathrooms are clean & A/C is always cold enough. The best part is we have fun in camaraderie with each other.

I just ordered a Chicken Feta salad that was amazing, being a Cuban restaurant I took a chance in ordering something that is not typically their specialty, and I am happy I did. They serve a huge quantity of fresh spring salad with plenty of Chicken that looks like they cooked with the Chicken that had a tremendous flavor plus they sprinkled plenty of Feta cheese. I have been ordering lunch from Tropic Grill for many years, and I am always pleased with their food. One of my favorite is their homemade Chicken soup, it reminds me of the one my mom and grandmother cooked. Thank you Tropic Grill for expanding your menu, it was delicious. Neisy Jimenez

This restaurant is located in a Doral gas station right in front of the Miami Dade police station. Popular to all the locals is a great place to get a Cuban breakfast, lunch or coffee. The have window service were you can place a quick order to go or simply eat at window. Restaurant is a pretty good size and always full as there food is delicious place is always kept clean and service in great. Today's visit was for a quick Cuban coffee (cortadito hecho con leche evaporada) to hold me off till dinner on way home. Always a safe place no matter what time you stop by either for fuel, convenience store or delicious Cuban food.

Oh my goodness! The food was so yummy! I can't even. So where to begin, first it's behind a gas station but don't let that fool you it's a hidden gem. The people are welcoming and friendly. The menu has a good variety and the prices are extremely affordable but the best part is the quality of the food and they serve great portion. Beats IHOP and Denny's for breakfast any day!

Tropic grill is a nice option for cuban breakfast and lunch. They usually have daily specials and they served lots of food, you can easily share a dish with someone. The girls here are super nice and you can either go through the ventanita or sit inside.

Awesome Cuban food! No one here speaks a word of English, and they didn't care, they were happy to service and figure out how to communicate! Very welcoming. They were friendly, and I got to try out my entry level Spanish with them. Great food, fairly priced, super hot, we will definitely go back.

Tropic Grill is not geared towards tourists, being mainly a neighborhood Cuban restaurant servicing locals (lots of them). At lunch these were clearly businessmen (two women customers, total out of about 60). But we were made to feel welcome, even though the server spoke very little English. And the food was more than passable, especially the picadillo. With large portions and relatively low prices, Tropic Grill is exactly what I would want if I were in the area at lunch time. Hint: If you are vegetarian, there is almost nothing on the menu for you. Even dishes you might think are safe have meat, usually pork, added.
